Travel Information
Travel health
Before travelling, we advise you to take some time to make preparations with regard to your health while you are abroad.
A good place to start is the Travel Health Pro website http://travelhealthpro.org.uk/general-advice-for-travellers/ which contains helpful information on what to do before, during and after your trip.
If you require travel vaccinations or malaria tablets, please try to make an appointment with a practice nurse at least four to six weeks prior to travelling. When making the appointment, you will be asked to fill in a questionnaire about where and when you are travelling. You can find this here or pick one up from our reception.
Some travel vaccines are ordered on a private prescription and incur a charge over and above the normal prescription charge. This is because not all travel vaccinations are included in the services provided by the NHS.
Alternatively, you can visit a local travel health clinic (please see below).
