Recording of Consultations

This practice is committed to teaching and training and we help train future GPs and other healthcare professionals.  You may be asked occasionally if you consent to your consultation being recorded for educational and assessment purposes. This may be an audio recording for a phone consultation or a video recording if seen face to face.

You will always be asked for your consent first and your decision will in no way affect your care. You can decline at any time before, during or after the consultation and you will be given an opportunity afterwards to withdraw consent and have the recording deleted.

Recordings will be made following GMC guidance available here: https://www.gmc-uk.org/ethical-guidance/ethical-guidance-for-doctors/making-and-using-visual-and-audio-recordings-of-patients

Your data will be kept and stored in line with GDPR guidance and deleted within 26 weeks.

If you have any queries regarding a recording please contact our practice manager.
